What to see and do at the Kona Brewery, Kona, Big Island, Hawaii
Kona Brewing Company is a nationally known brewery located in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island.
The brewery and pub opened in 1998. The building is made out of locally-sourced materials, including it's 2,000 square-foot outdoor lanai. Kona Brewing Company distributes its beers in 36 states and 10 different countries.
We walked from the port to the brewery when we visited Kailua-Kona on 12/20/2023. While there we sampled their beer and had lunch.
The brewery offers tours and the Growler Shack is open daily, serving beer-to-go. The food options include American-style cuisine, pizzas, tacos, and salads. The brewery also offers a range of products that Kona uses as an ingredient in their beers.
