Lecanto isn’t a name that shows up on travel brochures or Instagram hotspots — and that’s exactly its appeal. We have been to Lecanto many times.  We enjoy hiking through the forest and visiting the caves.

And you're not far from water either. A short drive west gets you to Crystal River, where manatees migrate in winter and kayakers drift through clear spring-fed waterways.
