What to see and do at Manual Antonio, Costa Rica
Manuel Antonio National Park is a popular nature reserve located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
It is known for its diverse wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and numerous bird species. The park features a combination of pristine beaches, dense rainforest, and hiking trails that allow visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area.
From 8/25/2016 to 8/26/2016, we stayed at the Hotel San Bada which is right next to the entrance of the Manual Antonio National Park. From the rooftop bar of the hotel you could look out over the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest. Howler monkeys gathered in the trees next to the bar and were at eye level with you.
In the national park, we saw several sloths, capuchian monkeys, howler monkeys, and a poisonous dart frog. We also went for a swim in the ocean there. They caution you to watch your valuables as the capuchian monkeys and racoons like to rummage thru your belonging while you are swimming.
Some popular activities in the park include hiking, bird watching, swimming, and snorkeling. Due to its popularity, the park can get crowded, so it's best to arrive early in the day.
