Costa Rica is known for producing high-quality coffee beans, and the country has a long history of coffee cultivation dating back to the early 19th century. Coffee is an important part of Costa Rican culture and economy, and many coffee plantations offer tours and tastings for visitors.

After visiting Poas Volcano on 8/20/2016, we went to the Doca Coffee Plantation where we had lunch. After lunch, we visited the coffee plantation and were given a tour of the coffee processing plant. We also visited the butterfly garden that is located here.
