What to see and do in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Toronto is the capital of the province of Ontario and is located in the southeastern part of Canada.

It is the most populous city in Canada, with a population of over 2.7 million people. Toronto is known for its diverse cultures and is considered one of the most multicultural cities in the world. It is home to a large number of immigrants from all over the world, which has contributed to its rich culture and diverse cuisine.

In March of 2001, we spent several days in Toronto.  While there, we visited the 1,815 ft. CN tower (with its glass floor), China town, Greek town, and attended a basketball game between the Toronto Raptors and the Chicago Bulls.  Downtown, most of the shops and restaurants are underground.

The city is also a major economic hub, with a thriving financial district and a large number of businesses in industries such as technology, film, and media. It is also home to several important cultural institutions, including the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to its urban attractions, Toronto is surrounded by lush parks and green spaces, including the Toronto Islands and the Rouge National Urban Park. It is also known for its lakeside location on Lake Ontario, which provides opportunities for water sports and other outdoor activities.

Overall, Toronto is a dynamic and exciting city with a rich cultural heritage, a thriving economy, and a high quality of life.
