St. Kitts, also known as St. Christopher, is an island nation in the Caribbean

It is one of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles and is located in the West Indies. St. Kitts was originally inhabited by indigenous peoples and was later colonized by the British and the French. The island has a rich history and has been influenced by both European and African cultures. Today, the island is a popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty, including lush tropical forests, beaches, and mountains.

On our first visit to St Kitts, we visited the island on 8/9/2011, we traveled in an old military truck from the port to the beach on the south end of St Kitts.   The Nevis volcano can be seen across the channel from the beach.

We visited St Kitts again on 2/14/2025.  This time we took a tour around the northern end of the island visiting the Wingfield Manor Estate, Romney Manor, and Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park and other sites along the route.

The economy of St. Kitts is largely based on tourism, agriculture, and light manufacturing. The island is also known for its offshore financial sector and is a popular destination for investment in the Caribbean region.

In addition to its natural beauty, St. Kitts is also home to a number of historic sites, including the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island is also known for its music and cultural festivals, such as the St. Kitts Music Festival, which attracts tourists from around the world.
