Dominica is a small island nation located in the Caribbean region.

It is a part of the Lesser Antilles and is located between the French islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. The country has a population of around 72,000 people and its capital city is Roseau. Dominica is known for its lush, tropical rainforests and mountainous terrain, which includes the Boiling Lake, a popular tourist attraction. The island is also home to several rivers and hot springs, as well as several unique species of flora and fauna, including the rare Sisserou parrot, which is the national bird of Dominica.

The official language of Dominica is English, but a Creole dialect known as Kwéyòl is widely spoken. The country has a rich cultural heritage, with a mix of African, Carib, and European influences.
