What to see and do in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

Virgin Gorda is an island in the British Virgin Islands, a territory of the United Kingdom in the Caribbean.

The island is known for its lush landscapes and stunning beaches, including The Baths, a famous beach and snorkeling spot featuring large granite boulders and crystal-clear waters. 

On a cruise of the eastern Caribbean, we stopped in Road Town on the island of Tortola on 12/03/2016.  From the  ferry terminal there we took the ferry to the island of Virgin Gorda where we then traveled by bus to the Baths.   Upon arriving at the Baths, you follow a trail down to the beach where you then follow the trail over and under the rocks to Devils Bay.  From Devils Bay, the trail continues up the hill and back to the drop off point.  There is a nice restaurant there where you can  enjoy some food and drink while you await the return of the bus for the return trip back to the ferry for the return trip to Tortola.

Virgin Gorda is a popular destination for tourists and is home to several luxurious resorts, as well as more budget-friendly accommodations. There are also a number of restaurants, bars, and shops on the island.
