Cancun is a popular tourist destination located on the northeastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico

It is known for its beautiful beaches, clear turquoise waters, and abundant sunshine. The city is famous for its vibrant nightlife, luxury resorts, and diverse range of dining and shopping options.  A large number of all inclusive resorts are located here.  There are also a few Maya ruins located nearby.

We stayed in an all inclusive resort on the coast near the El Rey Mayan ruins on 5/29/2009.  We visited the ruins and went kayaking on bay.

Cancun has a tropical climate, with warm temperatures throughout the year and a rainy season from May to October. The hurricane season in Cancun typically lasts from June to November, with the peak activity in September and October.

In addition to its beaches, Cancun offers many other attractions for visitors, including historic Mayan ruins, such as the El Rey ruins and the famous Chichen Itza pyramid, located about a two-hour drive from Cancun. There are also numerous theme parks, such as Xcaret and Xel-Ha, which offer a variety of water activities, cultural experiences, and wildlife encounters.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation or an action-packed adventure, Cancun has something to offer for everyone.
