We visited Guaynabo on 3/6/2026. While there we toured the downtown area and then spent time with family and friends at the Paseo Tablado de Guaynabo on the Rio Guaynabo river. This riverwalk is a popular destination with multiple food vendors and bars.

One of the Oldest Historic Sites in Puerto Rico

Guaynabo is home to the Caparra Ruins, one of the most important historical sites in Puerto Rico. Caparra was the first Spanish settlement on the island, founded in 1508 by Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León.
