What to see and do in Jaco, Costa Rica
Jaco is a beach town located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica known for its beautiful beaches and surfing.
On 8/26/2016, while traveling from Manuel Antonio to Jaco, we saw a large number of Macaws in the trees along the coast near Jaco. We then went to Jaco Rainforest Adventures. There, we rode on an aerial tram to the top of the mountain and back. It was raining heavily and so we did not see much wildlife. However, we were able to spot a Toucan in the trees.
Jaco is a great place to base yourself for exploring the Manuel Antonio National Park and the Carara Biological Reserve. Its also a popular destination for eco-tourism, with many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, wildlife watching, and ziplining.
