Kakului is a seaport on the northern coast of the island of Maui in Hawaii.
It hosts the island's main airport, a deep-draft harbor, light industrial areas, and commercial shopping centers. It is a popular port for cruise ships visiting Maui.
Attractions in Kahului include the Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum, Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary, Kanaha Beach County Park, and the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Other attractions on the island of Maui include the Road to Hana and the Haleakala Volcano national park.
On 12/17/2023 and 12/18/2023, we visited Kakului while on a cruise on NCL's Pride of America. While here, we visited both the
Road to Hana and the Haleakala Volcano national park.
