What to see and do in Madison, Wisconsin

Madison is the capital of Wisconsin and is located in the southern part of the state

The state capitol building sits on an isthmus between lakes Mendota and Monona. 

I visited Madison many times and was last there on 6/15/2015.

Madison is known for its outdoor activities and natural beauty. The city is situated on an isthmus between two lakes, Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, and there are many parks and nature reserves in and around the city. The University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum, for example, is a large natural area that provides opportunities for hiking, bird-watching, and other outdoor activities.

Madison is also a hub for cultural activities, with a vibrant arts scene and many museums and cultural institutions. The Overture Center for the Arts is a major venue for performances and exhibitions, and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art showcases modern and contemporary art from around the world.
