What to see and do in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee is a city in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan's western shore.

It is known for its brewing traditions that began with the German immigrants. Milwaukee is also famous for its breweries, and the city is home to several well-known beer brands, including MillerCoors and Pabst Blue Ribbon.

I visited Milwaukee on 8/16/2015 and while there I had lunch at the Water Street Brewery.

Milwaukee has a rich history, and it was once known as the "Machine Shop of the World" due to its significant manufacturing industry. The city has since diversified its economy, and its top industries now include healthcare, education, and finance.

There are many cultural attractions in Milwaukee, including the Milwaukee Art Museum, which has an impressive collection of over 25,000 works of art. The city is also home to the Harley-Davidson Museum, which celebrates the iconic American motorcycle brand.

Sports are also a big part of Milwaukee's culture, with the city being home to the Milwaukee Brewers, a Major League Baseball team, and the Milwaukee Bucks, a National Basketball Association team. 

Milwaukee is known for its friendly and welcoming community, and the city is often referred to as a hidden gem of the Midwest. The city has a vibrant arts and music scene, and it hosts several festivals throughout the year, including Summerfest, which is the world's largest music festival.
