Guanacaste Costa Rica's beautiful beaches, lush forests, and active volcanoes, make it a popular tourist destination.

Guanacaste is a province located in the northwest region of Costa Rica, bordering the Pacific Ocean to the west and Nicaragua to the north.

From 8/23/2016 to 8/24/2016, we spent two nights at the JW Marriott in Guanacaste.  Our room had a view of the Pacific Ocean and we were able to watch the sunset from it.

Some of its top attractions include Playa Flamingo, Playa Flamingo, the Guanacaste National Park, Rincon de la Vieja National Park, and Papagayo Peninsula. The region is also famous for its rich culture and traditions, such as the marimba music and the Sabanero cowboy culture.
