Harvest Caye is a private island resort located 5 miles off the coast from Placencia in Belize

It is owned and operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. The island covers an area of 75 acres and features a range of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy, which includes a saltwater lagoon, a large freshwater pool, ziplines, and a wildlife exhibition with a butterfly house.

We visited Harvest Cay on 3/18/2022. While there, we toured the island, visited the wildlife exhibition and butterfly house, and spent time enjoying the beach. The water here is not as clear as at other places we visited.

One of the main attractions of Harvest Caye is its beautiful beaches, which are lined with palm trees and offer nice views of the Caribbean Sea. Visitors can relax on the sand, take a dip in the water, or rent water sports equipment like kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Harvest Caye also has a large pool complex, which includes a swim-up bar, loungers, and cabanas for rent. The island has several dining options, including a buffet restaurant, a beachside grill, and a sit-down restaurant serving local Belizean cuisine.

For those looking for adventure, Harvest Caye offers a variety of excursions and activities, such as zip-lining, kayaking through mangrove forests, and snorkeling or diving in the nearby coral reefs. The island also has a small shopping village where visitors can buy souvenirs, jewelry, and other items.

A ferry runs from the island to Placencia.
