The Laie Point State Wayside Park, Oahu, Hawaii is a popular spot for whale watching

Laie Point is a scenic spot on Oahu’s northeastern shore that offers stunning views of an arch on Kukuihoolua island, the ocean, the cliffs, and the volcanic rock formations. It is also a place of cultural significance, as it is linked to the legend of the goddess Hiiaka and the monster Kuiniolo. The Laie Point State Wayside Park is a popular spot to enjoy the panorama and watch the whales in winter.

We visited the Laie Point State Wayside Park on 12/14/2023.  The parking area in the park is small. But people typically stop here to see the arch and then leave soon thereafter.   It was very windy and there were high waves breaking on the shore and the island.
