Buzios is a coastal town located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

We visited Buzios on 3/17/2023 when we tendered ashore from the Norwegian Star. We purchased the Panoramic Tour tickets for a bus tour of the town and its surrounding beaches. Afterwards, we had lunch in Buzios, visited the downtown shops, and walked down the Orla Bardot promenade to see the statue of Bridget Bardot.

One of the main attractions of Buzios is its beaches. There are over 20 beaches in the area, each with its unique features and beauty. Some of the most popular beaches in Buzios include Geribá, João Fernandes, Ferradura, and Tartaruga. These beaches offer a range of activities such as surfing, swimming, snorkeling, and diving.

In addition to its beaches, Buzios is also known for its charming town center. The town features cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and numerous restaurants, bars, and shops. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the Rua das Pedras, the main street in town, where they can find everything from souvenirs to high-end fashion boutiques.

Another popular attraction in Buzios is the Orla Bardot, a promenade named after the famous French actress Brigitte Bardot, who visited the town in the 1960s. The promenade features statues of Bardot and other famous visitors to Buzios.
