Valletta is the capital city of Malta, a small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea.

It is located in the central part of the island and has a rich history dating back to the 16th century, when it was founded by the Knights Hospitaller.

On 9/20/2005, we toured the old city. In the old city, all the buildings are made of white limestone. Many of the streets have low steps which allowed the knights to be able to walk down them in their suits of armor.

The city is known for its baroque architecture and well-preserved historical buildings, many of which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Some of the most famous landmarks in Valletta include St. John's Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master's Palace, and the Saluting Battery.

In addition to its historical sites, Valletta is also a hub for arts and culture, with numerous museums, theaters, and galleries. The city is also home to a vibrant dining and nightlife scene, with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars.
