Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, on the coast of Spain.
It is known for its historic significance, as well as for its strategic location at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea. The territory also has a rich cultural heritage, with a mix of British, Spanish, and Portuguese influences.
On September 28, 2007, we spent the day in Gibraltar. When we arrived, it was very cloudy and you could not see the top of the rock. We took a tour bus that took us up the rock to the tunnels and gun emplacements built inside the rock. We then visited the museum and gardens and had lunch . After lunch the clouds cleared away and we were able to take the cable car to the top of the rock.
