Opaekaa Falls is a 151 foot high waterfall in Kauai, Hawaii 

Opaekaa Falls is located on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. It is a 151 foot high waterfall located on the right side of Kuamoo Road about two miles from Wailua. The word, Opaekaa,  means rolling shrimp in Hawaiian.  The shrimp were once abundant in the Opaekaa stream which flows over the falls and into the Wailua River. ​

Across the road from Opaekaa Falls is a lookout over the Wailua River valley.  Located along the Wailua River a cave called the Fern grotto

Also on the opposite side of the road from the Opaekaa Falls is the ancient temple called Polihu Heiau. It was dedicated to the god Ku for success in a war. The temple is named after the snow goddess, Poliahu, who was the sister of Pele, who was the goddess of fire, lightning, and volcanoes. A bell stone is near the temple. It is believed to have been used by ancient Hawaiians to ward off danger. Striking the bell with another stone results in a distinctive low frequency sound that can be heard for up to a mile away down the valley..
