Panama City is located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal and is a major center for international business and trade.

Panama City is the capital and largest city of Panama. It is a modern, cosmopolitan city with a thriving economy, sophisticated infrastructure, and a high standard of living.

I have been visiting Panama since the 1970's.  We last visited Panama in 4/22/2016 and much has changed. Especially, the downtown area. The old city is a nice place to visit.

One of the most notable landmarks in the city is the Panama Canal, which connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and is considered one of the engineering wonders of the world. Another popular attraction is the old quarter of the city, known as Casco Antiguo, which has been beautifully restored and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The area is home to colonial-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and plazas, as well as a vibrant nightlife scene.

In addition to its rich history and cultural heritage, Panama City is also known for its bustling financial district, with skyscrapers and modern shopping centers, as well as its beautiful beaches and lush tropical forests. The city is surrounded by lush rainforests and mountain ranges, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, bird-watching, and wildlife viewing.

Overall, Panama City is a dynamic and diverse city that offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern-day sophistication. Whether you are interested in history, culture, or nature, Panama City has something to offer for everyone.
