What to see and do at Punta Loma, Argentina

Punta Loma's main attraction is a colony of fur seals in Argentina 

The Punta Loma Natural Protected Area is a natural wildlife reserve located in the Golfo Nuevo, about 10 miles southeast of Puerto Madryn. Its main attraction is a colony of fur seals which can be seen throughout the year.  They can be seen  from the main viewpoint in the park as well as from sailing along the coast on tours offered by local operators. Cormorants and South American terns can also be seen in the area along with other bird species.

We visited the park on 1/24/2024.  While there we first went to the viewpoint to see the fur seals and then we walked down the trail along the coast. The area is arid and covered with low shrubs.
