Buenos Aires is located on the southeastern coast of South America

It is the capital of Argentina and one of the largest in South America. The city is known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and stunning architecture. It is often called the "Paris of South America" for its European-style buildings and wide boulevards.

On 3/19/2023, we arrived in Buenos Aires and spent three nights there at the downtown Marriot hotel. On our first day there, we bought tickets for the Gray Line Hop On Hop Off bus and spent the day traveling around the city. That evening, we went to Tango Porteno which is a few blocks from the hotel. For the next day, we had arranged a private one day tour to Iguazu Falls thru Viator. On the third day, we boarded the NCL Star for a cruise to Uruguay and Brazil. The view of the city from the roof of the Marriot is great.

On 1/20/2024, we returned to Buenos Aires and this time we spent 2 nights at the Sheraton hotel in the Ritero district in the city. While there, we visited the sites in the Puerto Madero and the Ritero areas. When we returned from our cruise to Antarcticaon the NCL Star on 2/4/2024, we visited the Caminito area and then traveled to Estancia La Mimosa in the Pampas before spending the night at the Hotel Presidente.

One of the most popular attractions in Buenos Aires is the Recoleta Cemetery, where many famous Argentines are buried, including Eva Peron. Other notable landmarks include the Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada (the presidential palace), and the Teatro Colon, one of the world's top opera houses.

Buenos Aires is also famous for its tango music and dance. The city has numerous tango clubs and bars where visitors can watch performances or even take lessons.

Food is another highlight of Buenos Aires, with a range of international and local cuisine on offer. Argentine steak is particularly famous, as is the traditional dish of empanadas.

Overall, Buenos Aires is a dynamic and culturally rich city that offers visitors a unique blend of South American and European influences.
